2 DAYS TOUR: CAT TIEN – NATIONAL PARK
Cat Tien National Park is estimated as the reserve of natural resources in Vietnam with lots of rare, specious and endemic genes of fauna and flora, as plentiful site for scientists, domestic and foreign tourists.
Cat Tien National Park is part of the wet tropical forest complex and one of the specious natural forests remaining in Vietnam. That is why this area is significant not only in Vietnam but in the world as well. The diversity of the Park has been recognized by WWF when this international organization selected the Park as one of 200 global ecological zones including the land and its water area with its wellknown biological diversity. In 2001 Cat Tien National Park has been listed by UNESCO as the 411th biosphere Reserve Zone in the world.
After leaving Ho Chi Minh City, turn off the national highway 20 lead visitors to a mountainous area full of a rubber and coffee plantations at the roadside. Take a bus and go 150km to a former volcanic crater, known as Lava tubes, then cross Dong Nai river to the center of Cat Tien National Park and here, tourists begin there wildlife conservation experience.
Afternoon, in 3 hours of trekking through Reserved Core Area, you will see plenty of hundreds-of-year trees.
Program highlight: go into the jungle at night in a jeep and
enjoy the feelings of watching wild animals and hearing the call of the wild animals.
What to see: deer,wild pigs, rabbits, porcupines, and more…
You will wake up by the singing of native birds, have breakfast and trek for 4 hours to see crocodile swamp, then back to the headquarter for lunch, take bus back to Ho Chi Minh city.
